The Spice Islands

These islands, stranded on the border between the Pacific and Indian oceans, inspire a remote sense of loneliness essential to appreciate at best candour and authenticity of the native people, the mollucans. Here all personal ideas and prejudices have to be put aside not because they are wrong but simply because they don’t apply. This gave me the amazing opportunity to broaden my perspective and truly explore something new.

I intuitively focused my attention on a number of activities, details and situations that for me were unusual but for a mollucan may have seemed just weird to spend a picture to record them. This huge evident cultural difference although evident becomes shortly insignificant when just a hint of a smile or gesture can make you feel home even on the other side of the world.
